A bucolic Swedish village next to the sea has come to life after the long, cold winter. The whitewashed houses, flower gardens, stunning red barns, and steepled churches, all against the green grass, stun one's eye. The illustrator Monika Forsberg shares a view of her home with this land and sea piece. As always, in her bright, cheerful, and organic way, she captures simple summer life, where the water is soft, the sun is warm, and the coffee is strong.
Monika Forsberg loves drawing almost everything, but her favorite things to draw are ducks. She lives in London, and finds inspiration for her flower drawings by walking down the road and looking at everyone's gardens. Monika's favorite colors are green, brow, and pink: but she equally loves beige, yellow and blue (and so on).
